Melody is a Cognitive Science, Human-Computer Interaction undergraduate student at UC San Diego. She most recently was a finalist in the IxDA Student Design Challenge that took place at Interaction '14 in Amsterdam. Her experiences range from applied research, interaction design and advertising, having previously been at Microsoft, Social Print Studio, INRIA and Wunderman.
She is currently examining mobile phone use among the homeless adult population for her senior thesis project. She is also actively building the student design community at UCSD through the student organization User Experience San Diego.
Her work has exhibited at Creators Project, placed at a Microsoft competition and featured in Geekwire and FastCompany.
She gets excited when considering the implications of technology in society and the resulting feedback loop that determines the relationship between human behavior and design.
